If you're a building envelope professional looking for work that matters — where your design recommendations prevent real failures, your test results resolve real disputes, and your forensic findings protect real investments — ACE Building Envelope Design may be the right place for your next career chapter.

ACE is led by CEO Conor Meyers, President John Harris, Director Jedidiah Brandman, and Kevin Moultrie, professionals who built this firm on the belief that forensic-informed design produces better buildings. Our team includes consultants with backgrounds in architecture, structural engineering, building science, and construction management — working together on projects that span envelope design, accredited testing, forensic investigation, and construction administration.

We hire for character, train for skill, and promote based on impact. Whether you're an experienced envelope consultant or an early-career professional with the right foundation, ACE offers the project diversity, mentorship structure, and professional development investment to accelerate your growth.

Types of Roles at ACE

ACE hires across all six of our service lines. Building envelope consultants and design engineers work on waterproofing specifications, air barrier systems, and thermal detailing for new construction and remedial repair projects. Field testing technicians perform FGIA/AAMA-accredited diagnostics — water penetration testing, air leakage testing, thermography, and electronic leak detection.

Forensic investigators lead condition assessments and root cause analysis on buildings experiencing performance issues. Construction administrators provide quality assurance oversight during the construction phase. Positions are available at both our Concord, CA headquarters and our Nampa, ID office, with fieldwork across our entire seven-state service territory.

Professional Development and FGIA/AAMA Training

ACE invests in every team member's professional growth. Our FGIA/AAMA accreditation requires ongoing training and competency verification — and we extend this commitment beyond testing into all six service lines. New team members receive structured onboarding that includes mentorship from senior consultants, cross-training across service lines, and supervised fieldwork before independent project assignment.

We support industry conference attendance, continuing education, and professional certification pursuits. ACE's multidisciplinary project mix means team members gain experience across multiple building types, diverse climate zones, and all phases of the building lifecycle — from design through forensic investigation.

What You're Facing

A career that doesn't challenge you, projects that don't matter, or a firm that assigns junior staff to projects pitched by seniors — and limited growth.

How We Address It

ACE offers meaningful project work, senior mentorship, cross-service-line training, and a culture where the people who pitch the work are the same people who deliver it.

What You Get

A career protecting buildings across seven states, working on diverse projects that develop your expertise, with an accredited firm that invests in your professional growth.

What ACE Looks for in Candidates

ACE values professionals who combine technical knowledge with practical field awareness. We look for backgrounds in architecture, structural engineering, building science, construction management, or related disciplines. Experience with ASTM testing procedures, building code compliance, forensic investigation methodology, or waterproofing system design is highly valued but not required for all positions.

Beyond technical qualifications, we hire people who share our commitment to accuracy, documentation rigor, and client service. If you're someone who triple-checks a flashing detail, documents conditions others might overlook, and finds satisfaction in preventing problems rather than just fixing them — you'll fit well at ACE.
