Morningstar is a senior living community in San Jose featuring 103 residential units with amenity spaces including commercial and demonstration kitchens, dining areas, theater, fitness center, and rooftop terrace with barbecue and fire pit. As waterproofing consultant to the architect, we provided design review of construction documents and specifications, and construction administration services including submittal review, RFI responses, preconstruction meetings, and progress observations for below-grade waterproofing, podium and planter waterproofing systems, balcony and terrace waterproofing, weather-resistive barriers, window and storefront flashings, wall caps, low slope roofing systems, and wall penetration details including railings, awnings, and trellis connections.
