Wheeler Plaza is a mixed-use development adjacent to the Caltrain station in downtown San Carlos, featuring 109 residential units and 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. The project includes three stories of wood-frame residential construction over a concrete post-tensioned podium deck with two levels of parking below grade. As the owner’s representative waterproofing consultant, we provided peer review of construction documents and comprehensive construction phase services including submittal review, RFI responses, preconstruction meetings, mockup reviews, and progress observations for below-grade blindside waterproofing, post-tensioned podium deck waterproofing, planter and balcony waterproofing systems, steep slope clay tile and low slope roofing assemblies, weather-resistive barriers, window and storefront flashings, exterior sealant systems, and fenestration integration details.
